Theme of the Week: Brotherhood
Brother,
Before we enter the weekend, I want you to take a second and reflect on the men in your life you would consider your people, brothers or tribe. The men who you genuinely feel close to. The men in your life you can truly count on.
Here are a couple questions you may ask yourself honestly:
Who do I feel aligned with in my values, my authenticity, and my morals?
Who are the men Iwant to be closer with?
Become aware of the men you may have drifted from but still trust. The men who challenge you, steady you, and you know would answer the phone no matter the hour. The men you feel most yourself around. The ones you don’t have to perform for. The ones who can sit with you in silence or speak truth when you need it.
Don't analyze, just notice who comes to mind.
Now, here’s the positive action for the weekend:
Engage in one small act of connection with another man in your life. You could send a voice note checking in, text, or call.
Just a genuine check-in. You may say something along the lines of, “I was thinking about you and wanted to check in” or “How are you brother?”
This small act of connection means more than we often realize, both to others and ourselves.
In my experience, when I am disconnected from the men in my tribe, a sense of loneliness and heaviness sets in. I feel the weight of the world more intensely, and less connected to something bigger than myself. This is because nobody, including men, is meant meant to carry everything alone.
I have found that staying connected and building healthy relationships improved my overall well-being and outlook on life, contributing to a stronger mental health.
As you head into your weekend, choosing even one small act of connection is enough. Brotherhood is built on connection; so stay connected.
Stay strong, even when you are not. It's okay, you are not alone.
With love always,
Michael Argyrides
