Public Speaking
Michael’s understanding of mindset was formed in professional sport and tested by life-threatening illness.
The Talks
As a professional goalkeeper, he learned to make decisions under scrutiny, manage the weight of expectations, and recover when mistakes were visible. His diagnosis with acute lymphoblastic leukemia later confronted him with a form of adversity that competition could not replicate. Treatment and a stem-cell transplant challenged his physical ability, disrupted his identity, and placed him in circumstances where the outcome could not be controlled.
Path to Becoming’s speaking engagements bring these experiences into honest conversations about mindset, performance, and what it means to continue when life changes without warning.
Speaking Themes
Engagements can be tailored around themes including
Developing a mindset that can be accessed when adversity arrives
Pressure, identity, and the mental side of high-performance sport
Responding to mistakes, uncertainty, and circumstances outside your control
Rebuilding identity following illness or a life-changing disruption
Cancer awareness, survivorship, and the realities of recovery
The daily practices that help people continue through difficult periods

From Within the Experience
An authentic perspective
