Theme of the Week: Life Move on, Move With it
Brother,
Earlier this week, we spoke about how life continues moving forward, even in moments where we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or broken.
The challenge is not really what we are facing. It is how we respond to it.
When something goes wrong, the mind has a tendency to stay there, replaying the situation, holding onto frustration, and resisting what has already happened. The more we stay in that space, the harder it becomes to move forward.
That is why learning to return to the present moment is so important. Because movement - mentally and emotionally - begins with awareness.
This weekend, keep it simple.
Set aside 5 minutes for a moment of stillness. You can sit, stand, or lie down - whatever feels most comfortable.
Close your eyes if you can, and begin by focusing on your breath.
Slow inhale.
Slow exhale.
As you breathe, notice your thoughts. If your mind goes to something that is bothering you; a mistake, a challenge, or a situation that hasn’t gone your way - don’t fight it, just observe it.
Acknowledge it without judgement of any kind.
Then gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Slow inhale.
Slow exhale.
Non-reaction is the practice.
Over time, this helps create space between you and what you are experiencing, and in that space, you regain control.
Life will continue moving and challenges will still come, but when you can ground yourself in the present moment, you give yourself the ability to move with life, rather than feel stuck in it.
This weekend, take that moment.
Stay strong, even when you are not. It's okay, you are not alone.
With love always,
